A man's heart deviseth his way: But the LORD directeth his steps.


The LORD shall keep thy going out and thy coming in, From this time forth and for evermore.


These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm; for whom the blackness of darkness hath been reserved.


but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forth into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.


That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,


I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but fame and chance happeneth to them all.


For the LORD shall be thy confidence, And shall keep thy foot from being taken.


All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he is sore vexed and hath sickness and wrath.


That he may guard the paths of judgement, And preserve the way of his saints.


The LORD is thy keeper: The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.


So the poor hath hope, And iniquity stoppeth her mouth


The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:


Let me not he ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be ashamed, let them be silent in Sheol.


I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.


Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from bloodguiltiness, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now therefore let thine enemies, and them that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.


He shall be driven from light into darkness, And chased out of the world.


Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden place.


For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the wicked shall perish.


And he brought them forth with silver and gold: And there was not one feeble person among his tribes.


The LORD preserveth all them that love him; But all the wicked will he destroy.


Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called The lady of kingdoms.


But with an overrunning flood he will make a full end of the place thereof, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
