And the thing which he did was evil in the sight of the LORD: and he slew him also.


And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.


If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house:


then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be broken, and that without remedy.

But the soul that doeth aught with an high hand, whether he be homeborn or a stranger, the same blasphemeth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.


Ye shall not respect persons in judgement; ye shall hear the small and the great alike; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgement is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you ye shall bring unto me, and I will hear it.


But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as at this day.


For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men, himself man, Christ Jesus,


For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,


but a certain fearful expectation of judgement, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.

For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.


And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.
