Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: Neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.


But mine enemies are lively, and are strong: And they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.


They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: Then I restored that which I took not away.


And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them.


But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.


who, when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad; and he exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord:


Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience sake.


But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.


For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.


Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God which hath been given in the churches of Macedonia;


For the which cause I suffer also these things: yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed unto him against that day.


Else would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more conscience of sins?


For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted for it, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.


For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men's matters:
