The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?


Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom:


And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that it is thou that talkest with me.


And this shall be the sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.
