Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.


And king Rehoboam took counsel with the old men, that had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give ye me to return answer to this people?


The lips of the righteous feed many: But the foolish die for lack of understanding.


Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise: But the companion of fools shall smart for it.


Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgement with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
