For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God take away life, but deviseth means, that he that is banished be not an outcast from him.


He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.


Though an host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then will I be confident.


Be not afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh:


Say ye not, A conspiracy, concerning all whereof this people shall say, A conspiracy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be in dread thereof.


And let not your heart faint, neither fear ye for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; for a rumour shall come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.


Woe unto the world because of occasions of stumbling! for it must needs be that the occasions come; but woe to that man through whom the occasion cometh!


And when Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.


Many shall come in my name, saying, I am he; and shall lead many astray.


For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: there shall be earthquakes in divers places; there shall be famines: these things are the beginning of travail.


Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.


Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
