Yet thou hast made him little less than God, and dost crown him with glory and honor.


Give heed to him and hearken to his voice, do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression; for my name is in him.


Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name? Surely you know!


Go forth, O daughters of Zion, and behold King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, on the day of the gladness of his heart.


You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.


For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”


His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the noise of a multitude.

On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords.


He who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God; never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.


And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and its rider had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.


And the angel of the Lord said to him, “Why do you ask my name, seeing it is wonderful?”
