And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord of hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim.


tremble before him, all the earth; yea, the world stands firm, never to be moved.


He rode on a cherub, and flew; he came swiftly upon the wings of the wind.


“I have set my king on Zion, my holy hill.”


Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou who leadest Joseph like a flock! Thou who art enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth


before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh! Stir up thy might, and come to save us!


They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.


The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength. Yea, the world is established; it shall never be moved;


Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns! Yea, the world is established, it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”


Worship the Lord in holy array; tremble before him, all the earth!


The Lord reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!


His lightnings lighten the world; the earth sees and trembles.


There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you of all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.


The Lord has mingled within her a spirit of confusion; and they have made Egypt stagger in all her doings as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.


I looked on the mountains, and lo, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and fro.


At the sound of their fall the earth shall tremble; the sound of their cry shall be heard at the Red Sea.

He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive a kingdom and then return.


But his citizens hated him and sent an embassy after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’


But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.’ ”


Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;


saying, “We give thanks to thee, Lord God Almighty, who art and who wast, that thou hast taken thy great power and begun to reign.


Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.


the sky vanished like a scroll that is rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
