Psalm 71:1

He trusted in the Lord the God of Israel; so that there was none like him among all the kings of Judah after him, nor among those who were before him.


and when they received help against them, the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hands, for they cried to God in the battle, and he granted their entreaty because they trusted in him.


Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides for ever.


Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,


To thee they cried, and were saved; in thee they trusted, and were not disappointed.


But Israel is saved by the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity.


Let those be put to shame who persecute me, but let me not be put to shame; let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed; bring upon them the day of evil; destroy them with double destruction!


as it is written, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone that will make men stumble, a rock that will make them fall; and he who believes in him will not be put to shame.”


For it stands in scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and he who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
