I will rejoice and be glad for thy steadfast love, because thou hast seen my affliction, thou hast taken heed of my adversities,


Thy steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, thy faithfulness to the clouds.


Answer me when I call, O God of my right! Thou hast given me room when I was in distress. Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.


O Lord, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch.


In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.


For great is thy steadfast love toward me; thou hast delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.


But I, O Lord, cry to thee; in the morning my prayer comes before thee.


I will sing of thy steadfast love, O Lord, for ever; with my mouth I will proclaim thy faithfulness to all generations.


Thy right hand, O Lord, glorious in power, thy right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.


Alas! that day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it.

In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard for his godly fear.


And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”
