my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; thou savest me from violence.


Give heed to my cry; for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors; for they are too strong for me!


Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations also of the mountains trembled and quaked, because he was angry.


Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.


Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.


The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.


The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their refuge in the time of trouble.


O my Strength, I will sing praises to thee, for thou, O God, art my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.


Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah


Men of low estate are but a breath, men of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.


They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.


will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”


O thou hope of Israel, its savior in time of trouble, why shouldst thou be like a stranger in the land, like a wayfarer who turns aside to tarry for a night?


The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.


And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and never doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will be done.


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.


Hence we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid; what can man do to me?”
