Let gloom and deep darkness claim it. Let clouds dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.


I am a brother of jackals, and a companion of ostriches.


Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.


I am utterly spent and crushed; I groan because of the tumult of my heart.


Fill me with joy and gladness; let the bones which thou hast broken rejoice.

the burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; the haunt of jackals shall become a swamp, the grass shall become reeds and rushes.

the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.”


And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.


And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.


The fifth angel poured his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was in darkness; men gnawed their tongues in anguish
