And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.


No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.


For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.


this he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm, ‘Thou art my Son, today I have begotten thee.’

Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered;
