They only plan to thrust him down from his eminence. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah


He who goes about gossiping reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with one who speaks foolishly.


Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, but a faithful man who can find?


A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.


And you shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, and did not accept discipline; truth has perished; it is cut off from their lips.


Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceitfully; with his mouth each speaks peaceably to his neighbor, but in his heart he plans an ambush for him.


For there shall be no more any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.


The godly man has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among men; they all lie in wait for blood, and each hunts his brother with a net.


For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.


For we never used either words of flattery, as you know, or a cloak for greed, as God is witness;
