He also uttered three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.


The word of the Lord that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging proverbs with great care.


The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.


and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.
