Because of their tongue he will bring them to ruin; all who see them will wag their heads.


The wise of heart will heed commandments, but a prating fool will come to ruin.


The righteous is delivered from trouble, and the wicked gets into it instead.


The tongue of the wise dispenses knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly.


Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.


He who keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.


if you are snared in the utterance of your lips, caught in the words of your mouth;


It is good that you should take hold of this, and from that withhold not your hand; for he who fears God shall come forth from them all.
