So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, to the sound of the horn, trumpets, and cymbals, and made loud music on harps and lyres.


From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord. But the foundation of the temple of the Lord was not yet laid.


So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel, lived in their towns. And when the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their towns.


And Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.


Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
