Now, since the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valleys, turn tomorrow and set out for the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.”


Moses did as the Lord commanded; and they went up Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.


Why will you discourage the heart of the people of Israel from going over into the land which the Lord has given them?

And they set out from Mount Hor, and encamped at Zalmonah.

But as for you, turn, and journey into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea.’

Then they journeyed through the wilderness, and went around the land of Edom and the land of Moab, and arrived on the east side of the land of Moab, and camped on the other side of the Arnon; but they did not enter the territory of Moab, for the Arnon was the boundary of Moab.
