Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”


And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain apart.


And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,


As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?”


And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him, and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.”


“Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign when these things are all to be accomplished?”


And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed and troubled.


he did not speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.


And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James.


And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves; and he was transfigured before them,
