He answered, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought, “Surely the thing is known.”


He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?


One of the multitude said to him, “Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me.”


And a little later some one else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”


And when he saw their faith he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”


Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself.


She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and do not sin again.”


Therefore you have no excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you judge another; for in passing judgment upon him you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.


Do you suppose, O man, that when you judge those who do such things and yet do them yourself, you will escape the judgment of God?


But who are you, a man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me thus?”
