“How can I pardon you? Your children have forsaken me, and have sworn by those who are no gods. When I fed them to the full, they committed adultery and trooped to the houses of harlots.


And if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.”


And if the person is sixty years old and upward, then your valuation for a male shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.


“If it is an animal such as men offer as an offering to the Lord, all of such that any man gives to the Lord is holy.


“But if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he shall bring, as his offering for the sin which he has committed, a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, and shall put no frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.


“But if he cannot afford a lamb, then he shall bring, as his guilt offering to the Lord for the sin which he has committed, two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.


For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you will, you can do good to them; but you will not always have me.


For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a man has, not according to what he has not.
