Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds they brought to the place where it was required, each according to his charge.


But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine meal shall be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.”


He makes peace in your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat.


They spoke against God, saying, “Can God spread a table in the wilderness?


They tested him again and again, and provoked the Holy One of Israel.


I would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

And he said to them, “How many loaves have you? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”


When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They said to him, “Twelve.”


But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”


Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.


Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was and saw him, fell at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”


Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”


Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish.


When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.


Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted.


Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.”


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.


Curds from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs and rams, herds of Bashan and goats, with the finest of the wheat— and of the blood of the grape you drank wine.


a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey,


and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm oil and wine!”
