And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!


In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the exiles by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.


“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me,” says the Lord of hosts. “Strike the shepherd, that the sheep may be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.


“When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.


The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”


And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him;


Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and ministered to him.


And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.”


But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, take up your bed and go home.”


And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove;


And Jesus said, “I am; and you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”


And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,


And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.


But from now on the Son of man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”


While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel;


Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened,


Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You shall see greater things than these.”


“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber;


So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.


Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.


Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the cock will not crow, till you have denied me three times.


“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father.


Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.


In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name.


Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go.”


Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”


Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.


Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, that the Son does likewise.


and has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man.


Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.


Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.


Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.


So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;


Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin.


Truly, truly, I say to you, if any one keeps my word, he will never see death.”


Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”


and saw the heaven opened, and something descending, like a great sheet, let down by four corners upon the earth.


and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.”


and to grant rest with us to you who are afflicted, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,


They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,


Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.


Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?


It was of these also that Enoch in the seventh generation from Adam prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with his holy myriads,


Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.


After this I looked, and lo, in heaven an open door! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up hither, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
