So these came to Philip, who was from Beth-saida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”


Then Jesus, knowing all that was to befall him, came forward and said to them, “Whom do you seek?”


Again he asked them, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”


This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”


And they came to John, and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you bore witness, here he is, baptizing, and all are going to him.”


Meanwhile the disciples besought him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”


When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you come here?”


And Peter went down to the men and said, “I am the one you are looking for; what is the reason for your coming?”


So when I was sent for, I came without objection. I ask then why you sent for me.”


But Ruth said, “Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God;
