for our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.


For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who observes his natural face in a mirror;


But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed in his doing.


Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,


Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “Where are the men whom you slew at Tabor?” They answered, “As you are, so were they, every one of them; they resembled the sons of a king.”
