From these the coastland peoples spread. These are the sons of Japheth in their lands, each with his own language, by their families, in their nations.


so that those who dwell at earth's farthest bounds are afraid at thy signs; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and the evening to shout for joy.


Thou visitest the earth and waterest it, thou greatly enrichest it; the river of God is full of water; thou providest their grain, for so thou hast prepared it.


Say to God, “How terrible are thy deeds! So great is thy power that thy enemies cringe before thee.


God has blessed us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!


The peoples have heard, they tremble; pangs have seized on the inhabitants of Philistia.


Listen to me in silence, O coastlands; let the peoples renew their strength; let them approach, then let them speak; let us together draw near for judgment.


Every one helps his neighbor, and says to his brother, “Take courage!”


Now the isles tremble on the day of your fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea are dismayed at your passing.’


For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites that were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.


When all the kings of the Amorites that were beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Canaanites that were by the sea, heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of the Jordan for the people of Israel until they had crossed over, their heart melted, and there was no longer any spirit in them, because of the people of Israel.
