you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have;


When the report was heard in Pharaoh's house, “Joseph's brothers have come,” it pleased Pharaoh and his servants well.


He sent Judah before him to Joseph, to appear before him in Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.


Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, “I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;


you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of cattle from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”


But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there; that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.


Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, there was no hail.


For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified have all one origin. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
