Then they said to one another, “In truth we are guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he besought us and we would not listen; therefore is this distress come upon us.”


And Reuben answered them, “Did I not tell you not to sin against the lad? But you would not listen. So now there comes a reckoning for his blood.”


And he inquired about their welfare, and said, “Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”


Therefore I am terrified at his presence; when I consider, I am in dread of him.


But now it has come to you, and you are impatient; it touches you, and you are dismayed.


“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of compassion and supplication, so that, when they look on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a first-born.


for they all saw him, and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; have no fear.”


But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”


And at the second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph's family became known to Pharaoh.


And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting;


Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, every one who pierced him; and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
