And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau's hands; so he blessed him.


Then he said, “Bring it to me, that I may eat of my son's game and bless you.” So he brought it to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.


And the king said to her, “What is your trouble?” She answered, “Alas, I am a widow; my husband is dead.


And he said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house that he may eat bread and drink water.’ ” But he lied to him.


For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.


Truthful lips endure for ever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.


Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.


Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me,


These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another, render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace,


Therefore, putting away falsehood, let every one speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.


Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices


So he changed his behavior before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and made marks on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle run down his beard.


And David said to Ahimelech the priest, “The king has charged me with a matter, and said to me, ‘Let no one know anything of the matter about which I send you, and with which I have charged you.’ I have made an appointment with the young men for such and such a place.
