Bind them upon your heart always; tie them about your neck.


And now, O Lord our God, who didst bring thy people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast made thee a name, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly.


They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long,


The God of this people Israel chose our fathers and made the people great during their stay in the land of Egypt, and with uplifted arm he led them out of it.


“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.


and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror, with signs and wonders;


You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out thence with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.


then you shall say to your son, ‘We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;


and they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; they went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were round about them, and bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger.
