And all the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.


Now when all the people perceived the thunderings and the lightnings and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled; and they stood afar off,


and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will hear; but let not God speak to us, lest we die.”


Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do.”


Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the Lord be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act according to all the word with which the Lord your God sends you to us.


Whether it is good or evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we are sending you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.”


For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of fire, as we have, and has still lived?


“And the Lord heard your words, when you spoke to me; and the Lord said to me, ‘I have heard the words of this people, which they have spoken to you; they have rightly said all that they have spoken.


and the sound of a trumpet, and a voice whose words made the hearers entreat that no further messages be spoken to them.


And the people said to Joshua, “The Lord our God we will serve, and his voice we will obey.”
