The women who had come with him from Galilee followed, and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid;


Now it was Mary Magdalene and Jo-anna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told this to the apostles;


And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven gathered together and those who were with them,


and were continually in the temple blessing God.


And he was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see you.”


When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.


And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.


And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they partook of food with glad and generous hearts,


But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”


Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.


Therefore, he who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.


Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,


Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;
