And if any one will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town.

and he will answer from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything’?


Working together with him, then, we entreat you not to accept the grace of God in vain.


As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker in your service; and as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.

So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, prating against me with evil words. And not content with that, he refuses himself to welcome the brethren, and also stops those who want to welcome them and puts them out of the church.


For they have set out for his sake and have accepted nothing from the heathen.


I have written something to the church; but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge my authority.
