For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.


Therefore let any one who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.


Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.


But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.


You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.


so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles.


Look out for the dogs, look out for the evil-workers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh.


For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.


See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ.


Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposed our message.


For we share in Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end,


Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world.


and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the licentiousness of the wicked


This is now the second letter that I have written to you, beloved, and in both of them I have aroused your sincere mind by way of reminder;


Remember then from what you have fallen, repent and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
