And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen went up from me.


And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision, I speak with him in a dream.


Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.


It was Caiaphas who had given counsel to the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.


And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent;


The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also at Rome.”


“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.


Now, brethren, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how shall I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?


“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.


I have been a fool! You forced me to it, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I was not at all inferior to these superlative apostles, even though I am nothing.


On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.


And to keep me from being too elated by the abundance of revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to harass me, to keep me from being too elated.


but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.


And in this matter I give my advice: it is best for you now to complete what a year ago you began not only to do but to desire,


For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.


I went up by revelation; and I laid before them (but privately before those who were of repute) the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, lest somehow I should be running or had run in vain.


how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.


For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep.


And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, to know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
