For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit;


Let not him who eats despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains pass judgment on him who eats; for God has welcomed him.


He who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. He also who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; while he who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.


“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.


But if you marry, you do not sin, and if a girl marries she does not sin. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that.


Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do.


Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a sabbath.


And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.


who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.


For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving;


So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, rule their households, and give the enemy no occasion to revile us.


Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the immoral and adulterous.


Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is well that the heart be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited their adherents.


As soon as you enter the city, you will find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat; for the people will not eat till he comes, since he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those eat who are invited. Now go up, for you will meet him immediately.”
