then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.


Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight; none was left but the tribe of Judah only.


until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one.

Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.


All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.


We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.


And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you; and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.


they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive among all nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.


Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.


since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,


But the scripture consigned all things to sin, that what was promised to faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.


“The Lord will bring you, and your king whom you set over you, to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known; and there you shall serve other gods, of wood and stone.


and the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and cast them into another land, as at this day.’


For we all make many mistakes, and if any one makes no mistakes in what he says he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.
