6 And Solomon said, “Thou hast shown great and steadfast love to thy servant David my father, because he walked before thee in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward thee; and thou hast kept for him this great and steadfast love, and hast given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”


And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my ordinances,


“Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in thy sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.


And Solomon said to God, “Thou hast shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and hast made me king in his stead.


Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.


Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live and observe thy word.


I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.


He who walks blamelessly, and does what is right, and speaks truth from his heart;


Not so with my servant Moses; he is entrusted with all my house.


You will be enriched in every way for great generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God;


So I thought it necessary to urge the brethren to go on to you before me, and arrange in advance for this gift you have promised, so that it may be ready not as an exaction but as a willing gift.
