For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. The righteous shall be preserved for ever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.


For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of man be in his day.


so will it be on the day when the Son of man is revealed.


Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Master is able to make him stand.


Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages


For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God;


each man's work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.


you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.


For we write you nothing but what you can read and understand; I hope you will understand fully,


as you have understood in part, that you can be proud of us as we can be of you, on the day of the Lord Jesus.


But it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has commissioned us;


that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.


so that you may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,


And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.


he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him,


rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.


so that he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.


For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.


not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.


But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from evil.


and therefore I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.


may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Day—and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus.


And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.


But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.


Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
