How long, Lord, shall the enemy thus in reproach exclaim? And shall the adversary thus always blaspheme thy name?


O God of hosts, we thee beseech, return now unto thine; Look down from heav'n in love, behold, and visit this thy vine:


This vineyard, which thine own right hand hath planted us among; And that same branch, which for thyself thou hast made to be strong.


How long, Lord, wilt thou hide thyself? for ever, in thine ire? And shall thine indignation burn like unto a fire?
