As th' apple of the eye me keep; in thy wings shade me close


Goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me: And in God's house for evermore my dwelling-place shall be.


One thing I of the Lord desir'd, and will seek to obtain, That all days of my life I may within God's house remain; That I the beauty of the Lord behold may and admire, And that I in his holy place may rev'rently enquire.


Be merciful to me, O God; thy mercy unto me Do thou extend; because my soul doth put her trust in thee: Yea, in the shadow of thy wings my refuge I will place, Until these sad calamities do wholly overpass.


He in God's presence his abode for evermore shall have: O do thou truth and mercy both prepare, that may him save.


In God my glory placed is, and my salvation sure; In God the rock is of my strength, my refuge most secure.


In shadow of thy wings I'll joy; for thou mine help hast been.


Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place in generations all.


He that doth in the secret place of the most High reside, Under the shade of him that is th' Almighty shall abide.


His feathers shall thee hide; thy trust under his wings shall be: His faithfulness shall be a shield and buckler unto thee.


Those that within the house of God are planted by his grace, They shall grow up, and flourish all in our God's holy place.
