Lord, let the proud ashamed be; for they, without a cause, With me perversely dealt: but I will muse upon thy laws.

For without cause have they for me their net hid in a pit, They also have without a cause for my soul digged it.

Let not the foot of cruel pride come, and against me stand; And let me not removed be, Lord, by the wicked's hand.

He made a pit and digg'd it deep, another there to take; But he is fall'n into the ditch which he himself did make.
