Ah, you destroyer, who yourself have not been destroyed; you treacherous one, with whom no one has dealt treacherously! When you have ceased to destroy, you will be destroyed; and when you have stopped dealing treacherously, you will be dealt with treacherously.


Therefore, thus says the Lord: You have not obeyed me by granting a release to your neighbors and friends; I am going to grant a release to you, says the Lord—a release to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine. I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.


I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea before your very eyes for all the wrong that they have done in Zion, says the Lord.


For the day of the Lord is near against all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head.


For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;


And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear; the measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.


give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”


The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.


For judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.


Render to her as she herself has rendered, and repay her double for her deeds; mix a double draught for her in the cup she mixed.
