But just as we have the same spirit of faith that is in accordance with scripture—“I believed, and so I spoke”—we also believe, and therefore we also speak,


Those who steal must give up stealing; rather, let them labor, doing good work with their own hands, so as to have something to share with the needy.


The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the foremost.


I desire, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument,


she must be well attested for her good works, as one who has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints’ feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to doing good in every way.

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,


And let people learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet urgent needs, so that they may not be unproductive.


Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.


And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds,


Through him you have come to trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your trust and hope are in God.
