this means understanding that the law is laid down not for the righteous but for the lawless and disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their father or mother, for murderers,


For God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,


He was destined before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake.


For certain intruders have stolen in among you, people who long ago were designated for this condemnation as ungodly, who pervert the grace of our God into debauchery and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.


to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all the deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”


But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been reserved for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the godless.


And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “Out of Zion will come the Deliverer; he will banish ungodliness from Jacob.”


Then the king of the north shall come and throw up siegeworks and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south shall not stand, not even his picked troops, for there shall be no strength to resist.


Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path that sinners tread or sit in the seat of scoffers,


From daughter Zion has departed all her majesty. Her princes have become like stags that find no pasture; they fled without strength before the pursuer.


for they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts.”


Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die.


He who did not withhold his own Son but gave him up for all of us, how will he not with him also give us everything else?


Who is to condemn? It is Christ who died, or rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.


and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.


and walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.


For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; hence it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer.
