How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!


Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.


“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.


Salt is good, but if salt has lost its saltiness, how can you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”


If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.


Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.

just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage but that of many, so that they may be saved.


What should be done then, my brothers and sisters? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.


But those who prophesy speak to other people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.


Those who speak in a tongue build up themselves, but those who prophesy build up the church.


Now I would like all of you to speak in tongues but even more to prophesy. One who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.


But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound. It is to peace that God has called us.


Now concerning food sacrificed to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.


Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves before you? We are speaking in Christ before God. Everything we do, beloved, is for the sake of building you up.


Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Be restored; listen to my appeal; agree with one another; live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.


to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,


Let no evil talk come out of your mouths but only what is good for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.


and not to occupy themselves with myths and endless genealogies that promote speculations rather than the divine training that is known by faith.


Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.


Pursue peace with everyone and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.


let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it.
