After all this the Lord struck him in his bowels with an incurable disease.


He caused the east wind to blow in the heavens, and by his power he led out the south wind;


the Lord will afflict with scabs the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will lay bare their scalps and heads.


Instead of perfume there will be a stench; and instead of a sash, a rope; and instead of well-styled hair, baldness; and instead of a rich robe, a binding of sackcloth; instead of beauty, shame.


And immediately, because he had not given the glory to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.


The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, scurvy, and itch, of which you cannot be healed.


The Lord will strike you on the knees and on the legs with grievous boils of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.


The Lord will turn away from you every illness; all the dread diseases of Egypt that you experienced, he will not inflict on you, but he will lay them on all who hate you.


It exercises all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and it makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.


So the one who sat on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.


Then another angel, a third, followed them, crying with a loud voice, “Those who worship the beast and its image and receive the brand on their foreheads or on their hands,


Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”


and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores, and they did not repent of their deeds.


The first angel blew his trumpet, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were hurled to the earth, and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.


The hand of the Lord was heavy upon the people of Ashdod, and he terrified and struck them with tumors, both in Ashdod and in its territory.


But after they had brought it to Gath, the hand of the Lord was against the city, causing a very great panic; he struck the inhabitants of the city, both young and old, so that tumors broke out on them.
