The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness stops its mouth.


The righteous will see and fear and will laugh at the evildoer, saying,


Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him. Let all the upright in heart glory.


so that you may bathe your feet in blood, so that the tongues of your dogs may have their share from the foe.”


You will only look with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.


When the tempest passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are established forever.


When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.


Praise, O heavens, his people; worship him, all you gods! For he will avenge the blood of his children and take vengeance on his adversaries; he will repay those who hate him and cleanse the land for his people.”


And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse’s bridle, for a distance of about one thousand six hundred stadia.


Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints and apostles and prophets! For God has condemned her condemnation of you.


So perish all your enemies, O Lord! But may your friends be like the sun as it rises in its might.” And the land had rest forty years.
