Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.


My vows to you I must perform, O God; I will render thank offerings to you.


“If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not postpone fulfilling it, for the Lord your God will surely require it of you, and you would incur guilt.

Make vows to the Lord your God and perform them; let all who are around him bring gifts to the one who is awesome,


give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.


I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, on the basis of God’s mercy, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable act of worship.


Those who bring thanksgiving as their sacrifice honor me; to those who go the right way, I will show the salvation of God.”


But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.


Look! On the mountains the feet of one who brings good tidings, who proclaims peace! Celebrate your festivals, O Judah; fulfill your vows, for never again shall the wicked invade you; they are utterly cut off.


Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God, for he is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.


Praise is due to you, O God, in Zion, and to you shall vows be performed,


Now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.


From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will pay before those who fear him.


So I will always sing praises to your name, as I pay my vows day after day.


But if you refrain from vowing, you will not incur guilt.


Whatever your lips utter you must diligently perform, just as you have freely vowed to the Lord your God with your own mouth.


“If you go into your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in a container.


You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will pay your vows.


The poor shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord. May your hearts live forever!


Let the oppressed see it and be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive.


who cuts off the spirit of princes, who inspires fear in the kings of the earth.


A scatterer has come up against you. Guard the ramparts; watch the road; gird your loins; collect all your strength.
