He went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.


In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.


For he did not despise or abhor the affliction of the afflicted; he did not hide his face from me but heard when I cried to him.


I had said in my alarm, “I am driven far from your sight.” But you heard my supplications when I cried out to you for help.

when I am afraid, I put my trust in you.


Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and will not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.”
